How and why transfer my domain name to NAMEBAY.MC ?

Here the steps for transferring a domain name with the following gTLD extensions: .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, ...

1. To start a domain name transfer, the name has to be registered for at least 60 days (no transfer possible before this time).
2. The domain name's status has to be 'ACTIVE' at your current web host in order to make a transfer. If the status is "registrar lock", ask your host to change the status of your domain name.
3. Once the status has been verified ask for your domain name's AUTHCODE and submit your transfer request to NAMEBAY.MC (auth code available from your current web host). Without this AuthCode, transfer requests cannot be processed.

What is the definition of the AuthCode ?

The AuthCode is an alpha numeric key attached to your domain name. It is used to check if the name of the domain name owner is the same as the person requesting the transfer. If it is, then the request can be processed automatically.

Note: the status "active" and the auth code attached to your domain name are now mandatory for a domain transfer.
